HBO's huge medical drama The Pitt has delivered 30 episodes across two seasons since it premiered in early 2025, and it's showing no signs of slowing down anytime soon.
In fact, season 3 has officially just started production, as confirmed via a HBO Max social media post.
But that's not all - a teaser video featuring staff member lanyards has also revealed which actors and characters are coming back for another intense 12-hour shift at Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center.

The clip shows that Noah Wyle (who plays Dr Michael 'Robby' Robinavitch), Sepideh Moafi (Dr Baran Al-Hashimi), and Katherine LaNasa (Dana Evans) are all returning for the next run of episodes.
Not only that, we've got: Ayesha Harris (Dr Parker Ellis), Fiona Dourif (Dr Cassie McKay), Patrick Ball (Dr Frank Langdon), Taylor Dearden (Dr Melissa 'Mel' King), Isa Briones (Dr Trinity Santos), Gerran Howell (Dr Dennis Whitaker), Shabana Azeez (Victoria Javadi), and Shawn Hatosy (Dr Jack Abbot).

One name not included is Supriya Ganesh (Dr Samira Mohan), but we knew about her exit beforehand, with Wyle stating: "It's an inevitability that's going to happen every season with this show... Emergency rooms have a high revolving door."
It looks like season 3 will take place in November, showcasing the different types of emergencies that need to be dealt with once the weather is colder.

The Pitt took a long time to come to the UK, to the point where we're still airing season 2 on these shores, but it's been worth the wait.
UK viewers have flocked to stream the show, while critics have lapped it up.
The show has a near-perfect Rotten Tomatoes critics' score of 96%, with Digital Spy's own review praising its "wonderfully intense and gripping storytelling".
Metro went as far as to call it "the best show on TV" and a series that "drags you from your sofa into the thick of the action in a way that no other drama has managed before".
The Pitt will return to HBO and HBO Max in the US. In the UK, the show is still dropping season 2 episodes weekly on HBO Max and NOW.
