A first look at The Crown star Olivia Williams in her new Prime Video role has just been released.
The Camilla Parker Bowles actor is set to play Queen Morgase Trakand, the ruler of Andor, in season three of The Wheel of Time.
A new still shows Queen Morgase and Elaida do Avriny a'Roihan (Shohreh Aghdashloo) seemingly at a royal court appearance.

Morgase's official character description sets her out to be a ruthless addition to the show, stating (via Variety): "Morgase did not inherit her throne. Rather, when the succession was left without an heir, she waged a brutal war against a half-dozen noble rivals, and thanks to her political savvy and utter ruthlessness, she won.
"She has sworn ever since to shield her daughter and heir, Elayne, from ever having to endure what she did… and do what she did.

Williams has been cast alongside The New Look's Nuno Lopes, who will play Lord Gaebril, Queen Morgase's consort, lover and adviser on political and military situations.
The Wheel of Time wrapped filming on its third season back in March 2024, sharing the news on Instagram with a video post featuring the show's main cast expressing their excitement for the new episodes.
The third season will see Rand reunite with his friends at Falme after being declared the Dragon Reborn in season two.

The synopsis reads: "The threats against the Light are multiplying: the White Tower stands divided, the Black Ajah run free, old enemies return to the Two Rivers, and the remaining Forsaken are in hot pursuit of the Dragon… including Lanfear, whose relationship with Rand will mark a crucial choice between Light and Dark for them both.
"As the ties to his past begin to unravel, and his corrupted power grows stronger, Rand becomes increasingly unrecognisable to his closest allies, Moiraine and Egwene.
"These powerful women, who started the series as teacher and student, must now work together to prevent the Dragon from turning to the Dark… no matter the cost."
The Wheel of Time season 3 will premiere on March 13, 2025 on Prime Video.
