Ella Purnell's "coming-of-rage" drama Sweetpea has been renewed for a second season.
The Sky original's first season debuted in October, following Purnell's quiet wallflower Rhiannon Lewis as she develops a vengeful taste for murder.
Sky has now confirmed that the show will return for a second season, which will see Rhiannon "return with a vengeance as her killer secret continues to spiral, and she becomes more twisted than ever".

"Being part of Rhiannon’s coming-of-rage journey has been a career highlight for me, and to see fans engage with and relate to our oddball Rhiannon, in all her complexity, feels truly special," Purnell, who also executive produces the show, said of the renewal.
"I cannot wait for audiences to see what she does next. Stay tuned."

Speaking to Digital Spy ahead the first season's release, Purnell opened up about the challenges of depicting female rage.
"I knew it was going to be so challenging to tell the story the way we wanted to tell the story, which was to make the audience feel conflicted," she said.
"We want to relate to Rhiannon's emotions and her motivations, but not to her actions and that's hard, because to tell the story I think from a woman's perspective, you have to approach it differently from how you would if it was a man. There are subconscious ways that we view women that are going to make us judge them a little harsher."
Sweetpea airs on Sky and NOW in the UK, and STARZ in the US. A release date for season 2 is yet to be announced.
