Humanity and technology are at war in the mind-bending first look at Westworld's third season.
HBO's surreal trailer for the long-awaited return of the science fiction show premiered at Comic-Con International on Saturday (July 20), teasing Dolores's (Evan Rachel Wood) plot to take down the Delos Corporation… and all of humankind.
"We are alone, outnumbered," she warns a fellow host. "We have to be smarter than them, or they’ll find us. And they will kill us."
Not all of her fellow hosts seem to be on the same page. Bernard (Jeffrey Wright) reappears after being saved by Dolores last season… but it seems he's not gung-ho on her crusade.
"Ford made each of us for a reason. Even Dolores," he explains. "I came back to find someone who could help me. Someone strong enough to stop her if it comes to that."
The teaser then cuts to Maeve (Thandie Newton) sounding conflicted as she repeats Dolores's infamous trigger: "These violent delights have violent ends."
What to Read Next
Maeve and Hector (Rodrigo Santoro) are still in the parks as part of a World War II scenario — as evidenced by their entrance into a village with Nazi flags hanging from the terraces.
Breaking Bad star Aaron Paul joins the cast as well, seemingly as part of a group who cross paths with Dolores in a future version of Los Angeles.

As exciting as the trailer is, fans will be waiting a while to see the episodes. A tag at the end confirms HBO's previous warning that the third season will be delayed until 2020.
