It has been confirmed that San Diego Comic-Con International will not have a Marvel Studios panel this year.
Since the pioneering release of Iron Man all the way back in 2008, the superhero specialist has exponentially taken Hall H by storm, with last year's presentation launching everything from new Avengers movies to Thunderbolts and Fantastic Four.
However, The Wrap reports that Marvel is skipping this summer's event - save from a presence on the convention floor - with the ongoing Writers' Guild of America strike making it difficult for the studio to preview any future material.

Right now, titles such as Daredevil: Born Again, Blade, Thunderbolts and Wonder Man have all paused production, and a possible strike from SAG-AFTRA exacerbates the struggle as performers would not be able to promote their projects as part of the labour stoppage.
SAG-AFTRA could initiate a strike anytime after their current contract with Hollywood studios expires on Friday, June 30 if a new deal isn't agreed.

In brighter news, the six-part series Secret Invasion premiered on Disney+ today (June 21).
Awarded four stars in the Digital Spy review, TV editor Laura Jane Turner suggested this one "has the potential to succeed in injecting some much-needed energy" back into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
It sees Samuel L. Jackson return as Nick Fury, alongside Ben Mendelsohn as Talos, and Don Cheadle as War Machine, as well as welcomes Emilia Clarke to the MCU as G'iah and Olivia Colman as Sonya Falsworth.
The action-packed show centers around a Skrull rebellion that has infiltrated the planet and is attempting to assume positions of political power to turn Earth into a new version of their home world, Skrullos.
San Diego Comic-Con International runs from July 20 to July 23.
