Big Brother continues tomorrow at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.

1

Gani, 39

big brother, gani
ITV

Pizza shop manager Gani lives in Bromley but is originally from India. On why he applied, he explains: "I'd like to be known by millions. I see this as an opportunity not only for my personal growth, but also to help build the future of my personal brand. And on a personal level, being without a phone will be an impressive psychological experiment — one that I believe will teach me even more about myself.

"I am energy. I've been told that wherever I go there is a light. The atmosphere totally changes. I'll definitely bring the happy vibe to the House."

2

Cameron, 22

big brother, cameron
ITV

Farmer Cameron from Taunton says he is looking forward to a "whole new experience", adding: "I do want to get past the first week and I'd quite like to do an eviction. I'm looking forward to going into the Diary Room to say who I want to nominate."

"I think I’ll be quite different than the Housemates as I suspect there isn't another sort of country bumpkin-esque figure and I'm quite looking forward to meeting new people. I think I'll hopefully bring a bit of leadership to the house."

3

Nancy, 22

big brother, nancy
ITV

Graduate Nancy lives in Glasgow but was born in Italy. She says: "I don't want to sound too cliché but I was feeling very lost in my life because I had just graduated from university.

"I'm looking forward to discovering myself even more and seeing how I can connect with people that are different to me. And just seeing who I am as a person and finding out more about myself, connecting with others and making friends.

"I'm very energetic, which can be a good thing. You will never get bored with me. But I might be too much for someone that likes a little bit of quiet time. I never shut up."

4

Caroline, 56

big brother, caroline
ITV

Caroline from Canvey Island works in PR and says she's looking forward to "getting out of this world at the moment", adding: "Just getting off social media, getting away from my phone. I've had my phone since 1994. That's a long time. And I watch too much TV and there's too much noise going on, so it'll be nice to just pretend that the world is beautiful."

"I don't think I'll be the mum of the house because I'm too naughty."

5

Zelah, 25

big brother, zelah
ITV

Personal trainer Zelah from South London says: "I'm in this weird in-between where I've recently left the corporate world into having a bit of a looser schedule while I get qualified and build my business, so it felt like a 'why not' situation. I'm someone who doesn't have much of a social battery that runs out, so I'm very intrigued to see how far that goes in the house.

"Also, being trans, I think that a lot of the media narrative at the moment is taken out of our hands, and it will be nice to re-centre that and retake control. Shows like Big Brother show the normality of people - you can't get more personal than watching someone 24/7."

6

Teja, 18

big brother, teja
ITV

Cleaner Teja from Bristol says she applied "for the cash prize mostly", adding: "And experience as well, but the money for sure. Winning that amount would be amazing. You've got to be in it to win it.

"You can't really strategise on this show because the public sees everything. If you want to be disingenuous, people will see it. You can make it all the way to the end of the show being like that, but the public aren't going to vote for you to win. I'm just going in there and going to be myself."

7

Emily, 25

big brother, emily
ITV

Politics events manager Emily from Northampton says: "I haven't really thought about a strategy, although I do think people look at me and think I'm very ditzy because I've got blonde hair and fake nails. So, I think that could definitely play to my advantage, because they better watch out! I'm actually a lot cleverer.

"I think I'm most likely to be nominated for talking too much or being too loud, because I just let the impulsive thoughts out when there's something I want to say. I can't stand silence. I have to fill the silence all the time. So, I'm sure that might give some Housemates a headache, but I think it's fun."

8

Marcus, 22

big brother, marcus
ITV

Marcus, a mechanical engineer from Manchester, says he's looking forward to "just being thrown in the mixing bowl of a group of people who I don’t know and watching all their personalities unfold", adding: "I'm buzzing.

"I don't have a strategy. My mum and my dad have both said: 'it's a game, you need to play the game.' But how do you play a game in Big Brother? I'll just have to go in and see what happens."

9

Tate, 27

big brother, tate
ITV

Business owner Tate from Falkirk says he applied because he sees the show as a "bucket-list experience". He adds: "I've always wanted to do something like this and I thought it would be a fun story to tell one day. Me being on the show might also potentially help with my business as well

"Being part of the 'buff butler' stuff, you naturally fall into the role of an entertainer, getting folks chatting and mingling and maybe playing a couple daft games. It depends what everyone else is like. I'm very versatile - I can have quite deep and intellectual conversations, and I can also be a bit daft."

10

Elsa, 21

big brother, elsa
ITV

Elsa is a content creator from Essex. She says she "saw an advertisement to apply on TikTok, and I thought, 'OK, I'm just going to apply. Like, I'm just going to do it'. I feel like you're only 21 once. And why not!

"I think I'm looking forward to the experience as a whole, but also making new friendships."

11

Sam, 27

big brother, sam
ITV

Zumba instructor Sam from Bradford says: "I think I'll bring a lot of fun to the house. I'll definitely bring a lot of energy. I want to get people doing Zumba and morning yoga every day. I hope we can have little sing-alongs too. I think I'll be good entertainment for all the housemates. I'm also a good listener. I cry at anything so I can empathise and think I’ll be a good friend to have in there."

12

Jenny, 20

big brother, jenny
ITV

Make-up artist Jenny from Derry says: "I've been watching Big Brother for years, and I think it's just a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I had the opportunity to apply, and I just thought, 'This could be a lot of fun'. And here I am!

"One thing about me that would surprise people most is that I can rap. Surprising, eh?"
