I Kissed a Girl star Elisha has opened up about the latest episode's "horrific" cliffhanger. The sixth episode of the second (and final) season of the queer dating show ended with Elise and Elisha having to make a very difficult decision.

The new season has already been filled with drama, including episode five ending with the arrival of Josie, a former flame of Elise's.

The new episode saw the ladies attend an icons party where they all got to dress up before taking part in an awards ceremony presented by narrator Charley Marlowe. But the final award to the 'Most Iconic Power Couple', which was won by Elise and Elisha, came with more than just a statue.

After winning, the pair were asked to announced the winner of one more award — 'Most Iconic Exit'. This gave the couple the power to chose one person to send home from the Masseria immediately.

The episode ended on the huge cliffhanger, with the contestants anxiously awaiting Elise and Elisha's decision.

Speaking to Pink News about the cliffhanger, Elisha said: "It’s a lot of pressure to be put in a position where you are in control of who to send home and cut their journey.

"It is horrific. It’s not an easy thing to do, because no-one wants to go home, no-one wants to be sent home. It was a crazy cliffhanger to leave it on for the next two episodes."

Fellow contestant Kayleigh added: "It’s pure devastation, because we were on such a high from that night.

"I think that was one of everyone’s favourite nights, and ultimately we didn’t want anyone to leave."

Fans will have to wait until Tuesday 7 July to find out who Elise and Elisha choose.

I Kissed a Girl airs on BBC Three and is streaming on BBC iPlayer.
