Love Island's Casa Amor recoupling descended into chaos tonight as Kavan chose to recouple with bombshell Charleen, leaving Jasmine standing alone before confronting him in front of host Maya Jama and the rest of the Villa.

This Wednesday's (1 July) episode saw the long-awaited recoupling finally arrive after days of temptation, as the original boys returned from Casa Amor to the main Villa, to reveal whether they'd remained loyal or chosen to recouple with one of the new Islanders introduced during the twist.

Ahead of the dramatic moment, emotions were already running high after the Secret Selfie Challenge, which left several girls questioning what their partners had been getting up to in Casa Amor.

Jasmine was left devastated after receiving a photo appearing to show Kavan kissing Casa Amor bombshell Charleen, prompting the girls to rally around her. Kavan, on the other hand, was stunned as he received news of the recoupling and knew he'd have to make a decision.

Moments later, Maya Jama entered the Villa as the boys returned one by one, alone or in the company of a new other half. While Aidan and Lorenzo decided to give new connections a chance, Sean returned to the Villa alone as he chose to remain coupled up with Lola.

Kavan then followed, with Charleen in tow, and with Jasmine refusing to couple up with someone new, she's been left single and vulnerable ahead of the next dumping.

Once at the Fire Pit, Kavan explained his reasoning, claiming he had to see where his connection with Charleen could go. However, Jasmine and Mica both responded, with the latter commenting he had "lost the plot".

Meanwhile, viewers at home quickly rallied behind Jasmine while the confrontation unfurled. One fan hoped that Jasmine would pay no heed to Charleen and Kavan for the rest of her journey, while others praised her for not recoupling with another boy out of spite. Another fan demanded for Kavan to be booted out of the Villa.

Jasmine wasn't the only girl to be met with the shock of a lifetime during the latest recoupling. Angelista and Simba appeared to be on good terms prior to his departure for Casa Amor.

But once in the secondary Villa, Simba couldn't resist getting to know new Islander Mara and the pair even shared a kiss. During this Wednesday's recoupling, Angelista decided to continue her relationship with Simba, opting to believe they could go the distance - but she was stunned when Mara followed Simba back into the Villa.

Love Island continues this Thursday (2 July) from 9pm on ITV2.
