Love Island viewers have called out Sean after he backtracked on a comment he made in previous scenes of the ITV2 dating show - and it could bring trouble to his relationship with Lola. This Thursday's (25 June) episode saw another challenge igniting forgotten tensions in the Villa, as Sean was confronted with his own words.

The group gathered round the Fire Pit for a game of Tea, Receipts and Truth, where Islanders have to decide between exposing revealing truths or let the Villa Receipts speak for themselves.

While Jasmine and Lorenzo came under scrutiny, along with Simba and Aidan, Sean was quickly met with a statement he made during a private chat with the boys, claiming he thought he'd made his relationship with Lola exclusive far too early on.

Sean firmly denied making the comment, while Lola appeared sceptical. Viewers, on the other hand, were fuming. "Sean, you’re actually just boring now. Stop denying everything and pretending you only care about Lola," one viewer wrote.

A second fan branded the move a "red flag", writing: "Sean denying everything is very interesting and very red flag! Lola take note!" Another fan went a step further, predicting Lola and Sean were headed towards the rocks.

"YES finally the downfall of Sean and Lola," they wrote. One viewer even echoed: "First that heart rate challenge and now this quote omds Lola and Sean will crumble." Sean and Lola have been coupled up since first entering the Villa and their bond appears to have gone from strength to strength, making them the most solid pairing in the series.

Emotions ran high throughout tonight’s episode. Having escaped another dumping, Yasmin, Jasmine and Lorenzo found themselves embroiled in another love triangle. Tension mounted when Yasmin opened up to Mica, sharing her disappointment over Lorenzo’s general lack of affection.

Later on, Mica relayed Yasmin’s thoughts to Jasmine, who had doubts of her own. “Maybe he just doesn’t feel it with her,” she told Mica. “I have a feeling he might not.” Jasmine has had her fair share of issues in her own couple with Kavan, as the pair have repeatedly struggled to see eye-to-eye, but they've both made the decision to give their connection a real chance.

Unfortunately, the newest challenge has threatened to thwart their plans. During Tea, Receipts and Truth, Jasmine and Lorenzo's connection was, once more, called into question, triggering doubts for both Kavan and Yasmin.

Despite having bonded with Lorenzo, Yasmin carefully probed Lorenzo about his motives for wanting to get to know her. Worse, she hinted at the possibility that he could have struck up a relationship with her in a bid to move on from an unavailable Jasmine.

Love Island continues this Friday (26 June) from 9pm on ITV2.
