After competing in season two of The Traitors, fan favourite Diane Carson has revealed why she's "bloody cross" with her son and fellow contestant, Ross.
Speaking with Radio Times, the retired teacher was asked if she'd ever compete in the reality series again. "Absolutely. Ross and I could have made a shedload of money doing advertisements and brand deals as mum and son from The Traitors, but he wants to be taken seriously as a young man with his own business, and I have to respect that," she told the publication. "It doesn't mean I'm not bloody cross with him though!"
Ross, a freelance writer, director and editor, and mum Diane emerged as fan favourites in the second season of The Traitors, which aired in January 2024. During their time at Ardross Castle, the duo made a point of keeping their connection secret from the other players, who initially suspected that Paul Gorton was related to Diane.
Asked if she had a strategy on The Traitors, Diane told Radio Times: "Just to keep Ross a secret. I am the queen of surprises. I spend my life planning surprise parties. Our family plays Dungeons & Dragons, and my boys are always playing pranks on me.
"When Ross said that my Sunday dinners were rubbish on The Traitors, I didn't flinch. It was part of the game and part of our family dynamic."

While Diane has joked about missing out on brand deals, the TV star has gone on to launch her very own podcast, Spill the Fizz, with drag queen Beary Poppins. Fans may also have spotted her in episodes of Would I Lie To You and Celebrity MasterChef.
In an interview with The Guardian, mum-of-three Diane has also opened up about her relationship with Ross outside of The Traitors. "What you see on TV is us. We're a close-knit family, and we love all sorts of games," she revealed.

"For my 60th birthday a few years ago, they set up a treasure hunt for me in York. Everybody was in costume, and I had to go around all the members and chat to them in character. My husband doesn't do anything like this, he's quiet and a lot more grounded, but even he was dressed up as a hotdog. It was the best time ever. They got me a bouncy castle!"
As for Ross, The Traitors' favourite is currently an executive producer for Just Upstairs, a London-based production company. Over the past year, he has collaborated with major brands, including New Balance and Adidas.
