The Traitors has returned to BBC One for season 4 and one Traitor, Stephen Libby, has claimed he's taking the game "very seriously".

The Traitors, hosted by Claudia Winkleman, is back. But, this time, along with three regular Traitors, there is also a secret one, whose identity has been concealed to fellow Traitors and the public alike.

Traitor Stephen may be playing the long game by making "friends with everyone". Ahead of getting to the Scottish Highlands, the cyber security consultant from London claimed to be "very personable", a quality that may help him ingratiate some of the unaware Faithfuls.

"People seem to let their guard down around me very quickly when I first meet them.

"I think that's partly due to having quite a regional accent that I think works in my favour," the 32-year-old contestant said before the game started.

"It might sound like quite a simplistic game plan to just make friends with everyone, but I do think that's something that does come naturally to me," he continued.

"However, I'm also very competitive, and quite pragmatic, and I'm also taking the game seriously."

So seriously, in fact, that Stephen plans on using his social skills to infiltrate the group and become a favourite, so his fellow players "would feel bad about getting rid of" him.

"I'm going to use what I feel is my quite innate talent to bring people close to solidify myself among the group, as someone that they would feel bad about getting rid of," he said.

Stephen joins fellow Traitors Rachel Duffy and Hugo Lodge, as well as a fourth, secret Traitor, who is pulling all the strings.

Viewers have already made their guesses over the mystery Traitor, with Fiona Hughes and mother-daughter duo Judy and Roxy being the most popular choices.

The Traitors airs on BBC One and streams on BBC iPlayer.
