The fourth season of The Traitors is fast approaching, and we now have another teaser trailer to gorge on. This time, however, a star from The Celebrity Traitors plays a major part, as they pass on the cloak to the new cast.

The wildly popular BBC reality series is due to return with its next season on 1 January, with 22 new players taking part in the ultimate game of treachery for a chance to win a whopping cash prize.

While we still have a few weeks to wait, the broadcaster has unveiled the latest teaser, with Celebrity Traitors winner Alan Carr being front and centre as he hands over the mantle to the new players.

"Dear new Traitors. Look after the place, won't you, because you'll never guess what Claudia [Winkleman] has planned this time. It's big. Good luck - you're definitely going to need it," says Carr in the clip.

Over on Instagram, fans reacted excitedly to the new teaser in the comment section, with several viewers remarking that the popular show would get them "through" the month of January.

What to Read Next

"Expect even more twists, turns, secrets, epic missions, deception, banishments and, of course, murders aplenty," reads the logline for the fourth season, which will reportedly consist of 12 instalments.

Carr, of course, is now a Traitors icon following his victory in the first iteration of the celebrity version, with the comedian coming out on top after he successfully duped Nick Mohammed and David Olusoga in a dramatic endgame.

"What an honour and a complete shock!" said Carr following his win. "If someone had told me week one that I would even be around in week two I wouldn’t have believed them, so to be crowned the winner is absolutely mindblowing. What an adventure!

"Although I won, I don’t really think I can give any tips and tricks. I don’t know if I was a really good Traitor or if the Faithfuls were just useless. I think anyone who goes for it should only apply if you love the game."

The Traitors season 4 premieres on BBC One at 8pm on 1 January 2026.
