The Celebrity Traitors spoilers follow.

The Celebrity Traitors may have just finished, but there's no rest for the wicked. Just as one famous face was crowned the victor, fans got a glimpse of the upcoming fourth season of the main show.

As one celebrity collected the cash prize for charity, attention already turned to the next instalment of television's most treacherous game, with the teaser trailer beginning as a cloaked figure walks through the woods with a lantern.

As they creep towards the moonlight, with an orchestral version of Blondie's 'Heart of Glass' playing in the background, the figure approaches a conveniently-placed mirror. As the reflection comes into shot, we have a 2026 release date confirmed.

There is no release month or date just yet, though the previous two seasons of The Traitors premiered in January, so we'd be lucky to get a short turnaround. The first season began in November, so here's hoping we're not waiting too long.

What to Read Next

While we'll still have to wait for the fourth season of the iconic series, viewers are currently mulling over the extraordinary events in the finale of The Celebrity Traitors, which saw the unthinkable happen.

This is your final warning about spoilers for The Celebrity Traitors, so don't read any further if you haven't already watched the finale.

Following last week's semi-final, it seemed almost certain that the Faithfuls would triumph. After all, professional rugby player Joe Marler had correctly deduced that Cat Burns and Alan Carr were the remaining Traitors.

It began swimmingly, with Faithfuls Joe, Nick Mohammed and David Olusoga banishing Cat. The stars had seemingly aligned, with only Alan left to oust, but a remark from Joe towards Cat had Nick thinking that he was the last remaining Traitor.

After Joe was surprisingly banished, Alan, Nick and David all agreed to end the game, with comedian Alan leaving his fellow players stunned as he revealed himself to have been a Traitor all along.

"What an honour and a complete shock!" he said following his victory. "If someone had told me week one that I would even be around in week two I wouldn’t have believed them, so to be crowned the winner is absolutely mindblowing. What an adventure!

"Although I won, I don’t really think I can give any tips and tricks. I don’t know if I was a really good Traitor or if the Faithfuls were just useless. I think anyone who goes for it should only apply if you love the game."

The Traitors series 1-3 and The Celebrity Traitors are streaming on BBC iPlayer.
