Alex Kingston's Strictly Come Dancing journey has come to an end after she was voted out of the show at the weekend. But the Doctor Who actress got very emotional as she revealed the special reason it's not the end of her dancing journey.
Appearing on sister show It Takes Two with her pro partner Johannes Rabebe, she broke down in tears as she spoke about her exit from the show.
"I found out on Sunday that my husband has been keeping a secret from me," she said while wiping away tears. "For the last five weeks, he’s been taking salsa lessons so he could become my partner."
Both Jojo and host Fleur East also got emotional by Alex's confession, with Fleur adding: "You’re going to break me tonight. I love what Strictly has given to you, it’s more than just the dancing."
"He realises how much this has meant to me, this journey and he wants it to continue for me," Alex continued, before adding: "But he also does want a few tips from [Johannes]."

She added that her friendship with Jojo had been a really special part of her time on the BBC show, and said they had already made plans to stay in touch.
"I don’t feel like it’s goodbye at all. It might be goodbye to some of them but it’s not goodbye for this man. It might be au revoir while we have Christmas, but after that, solid, solid dinner and theatre plans and everything," she said.
The ER legend also spoke about the brand-new Instant Dance segment of the show, which debuted this weekend.
It saw each couple take a card with a dance on it, and rush to get changed backstage, before having just 10 seconds to perform a brand new routine.
Alex and Jojo got the rumba, the dance they had so far scored the highest on.
"I was relieved to get the rumba," she said. "It was still a lot, the stress level for me was quite high. But at least I knew for those 10 seconds when we were standing there like rabbits in a headlight, I knew that I would be able to do at least some of the moves. I’m so glad I didn’t get Quickstep.
"The audience loved it because it was bonkers."
Strictly Come Dancing airs on Saturdays on BBC One, while spin-off Strictly: It Takes Two airs on weeknights on BBC Two. Both shows are available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
