Fresh from a week with no elimination, Strictly Come Dancing has unveiled the songs and dances for the next show as the remaining couples seek to continue their journey. It won't be the only time they take to the dancefloor either, as a special number is planned!

After La Voix was forced to withdraw from the competition ahead of Blackpool week due to an injury, it was confirmed by hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman that all couples would be safe for that weekend.

Normal service will resume this weekend (29 November) on the BBC series, however, as the scores will be carried over and combined with the results of the public vote as the dreaded dance-off returns on Sunday.

Before then, the six remaining couples will all have a chance to impress the judges, with Karen Carney and Carlos Gu, fresh from a score of 39, set to perform a Couple's Choice routine to Lady Gaga's 'Born This Way' (via Instagram).

Balvinder Sopal and Julian Caillon, who have found themselves in four dance-offs throughout the season, will aim to make safe passage as they perform a Jive to 'Right Back Where We Started From' by Maxine Nightingale.

George Clarke and Alexis Warr, who also scored 39 at the weekend, will dance a Quickstep to Frank Sinatra's 'I Get a Kick Out of You', while Lewis Cope and Katya Jones will aim to replicate their perfect score with a Rumba to Harry Styles's 'Falling'.

Rounding out the evening are Alex Kingston and Johannes Radebe, who will perform a Cha Cha to 'Ring My Bell' by Anita Ward, while Amber Davies and Nikita Kuzmin will dance the Jive to Tina Turner's 'Proud Mary'.

Furthermore, the couples will also take to the dancefloor for the 'Instant Dance' challenge, with each team having to perform a particular style on the spot with the aim of impressing the judges.

Alex and Johannes's routine was put into some doubt after it was confirmed that the Doctor Who star had performed in Blackpool with a dislocated rib, though the actor confirmed that it was merely a "minor injury".

"I just want to assure everyone that I am completely fine," said Alex, who scored 35 for her most recent routine, on Instagram earlier this week. "It is a minor injury… It's all part and parcel of dancing at these levels.

"The comment was made by my concerned and loving daughter… nothing more. I will be on the dance floor as early as tomorrow morning… rehearsing. Super excited for next week! Cha Cha Cha."

Strictly Come Dancing airs on Saturdays on BBC One, while spin-off Strictly: It Takes Two airs on weeknights on BBC Two. Both shows are available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
