A former Hollyoaks star has reacted to missing out on a Strictly Come Dancing place in this new season after she 'manifested' her participation in a series of social media posts. Sarah Jayne Dunn, known for the role of Mandy Richardson on the Channel 4 soap, has taken to Instagram to share her disappointment after it was revealed she wasn't partaking in the BBC's celebrity dancing competition.
Dunn got candid about not landing the Strictly gig despite being among the favourites to join this year's line-up.
'Well, this chapter didn’t end the way I'd hoped," she wrote in an Instagram post, admitting to being "disappointed".

"I wanted this more than I can put into words," she added. "But if this journey has taught me anything, it's that saying your dreams out loud isn't something to be embarrassed about.
"It's brave. It's vulnerable. And whether you get the outcome you're hoping for or not, there’s something really powerful about backing yourself."

Dunn also thanked her followers for their support, writing: "This journey has already given me more than I ever expected."
"So no, I won't be stepping onto the dancefloor this year. But I also won't be quietly talking myself out of the possibility that one day I will," she added.

"Dreams don't always arrive on our timeline. That doesn't mean they're over," she also wrote, before concluding with a positive message.
"Manifesting continues… just with a different date."
Meanwhile, another former soap star has been announced as a Strictly celebrity for the upcoming season. Ex-Neighbours star, singer and actor, Delta Goodrem has been confirmed as part of Strictly season 24, alongside EastEnders' Lacey Turner, Love Island star Dani Dyer and celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton.
Strictly Come Dancing will return to the BBC later this year.
