Neighbours star Delta Goodrem has spoken out about joining the upcoming season of Strictly Come Dancing. The Australian actor and singer was recently announced as part of the 2026 line-up for the popular BBC dancing competition.
Appearing on BBC Morning Live, Goodrem was asked about her varied career and how Strictly compares to anything she has done before, both on and off-screen. She explained that she loves "the spice of life", and was eager to learn a new skill.
"I love the spice of life, all the different varieties," said the star. "I've been so grateful to grow up in the music industry at home and take on challenges, and I love learning.

"I'm excited to learn from incredible dancers, and the coaches, the judges – I'm like, tell me everything and I'll do my very best to give it a go."
The star described Strictly as "such an incredible show", adding that she was "so honoured to step into it". She also shared her desire to begin preparations "very soon", so there's certainly no rest for the wicked.

Meanwhile, Goodrem also appeared on our screens earlier this year when she represented Australia during the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest, landing in an impressive fourth place with 'Eclipse'.
Speaking of the international singing competition, Delta shared the support and encouragement from her Aussie fans, saying she felt "the whole country" with her.

"I definitely felt that love and support from the beginning. It was more profound and more special, and a treasured life moment. I will take it forever. It was so wonderful to be able to be on that stage and to do what I love to do."
Goodrem was the third celebrity to be announced as part of the 2026 Strictly line-up, following Lacey Turner and Dani Dyer. Hairstylist Chris Appleton, best known for Selling Sunset, was confirmed after the former Neighbours star.
Strictly Come Dancing will return to the BBC later this year.
