Strictly Come Dancing professional Katya Jones has reacted to former dance partner Adam Peaty's "beautiful" baby announcement. The Olympic swimmer shared that he and wife Holly Ramsay were expecting their first child in an emotional Instagram post earlier this week.

Adam appeared on the competitive dance programme in 2021 alongside Katya, who praised her former dance partner as the "most wonderful father" to his son George from his previous relationship with Eirianedd Munro.

Speaking exclusively to Digital Spy at the TRIC Awards, Katya said: "Isn't it beautiful? I have seen him in a father's role with his son George, and of course, he is the most wonderful father.

Elsewhere, Katya addressed some of the huge changes coming to Strictly this year and assured fans it will still be the same show they know and love.

Speaking to Digital Spy, Katya explained: "Obviously quite a few things will be different. We're not going to have some of the dancers, we might have some new dancers, we have new presenters.

"There's not going to be the Claudiatorium because there's no Claudia, so yes, things will be different.

"However, at its core, the show is still the same. We're taking people who can't dance and showing them how to dance.

"Don't worry everybody, you can still sit down with your family and enjoy the beautiful dancing."

Strictly Come Dancing will return later this year on BBC One and iPlayer.
