Strictly Come Dancing spoilers follow.
Strictly Come Dancing has announced a huge twist following a sad announcement during its Blackpool week, with the structure of the competition being altered. As one contestant sadly withdrew, a rule change was brought in.
It was announced earlier this week that La Voix and Aljaž Škorjanec had withdrawn from tonight's show after the RuPaul's Drag Race star suffered an injury, and it was quickly confirmed tonight by host Tess Daly that the pair would play no further part in the competition.
"We love you so much," added Claudia Winkleman, with Tess echoing the sentiments of her co-star. In a further development, it was confirmed that no elimination would be taking place this weekend.
"This year, Blackpool is going to be even more special," teased Tess. "Listen up everyone, because we have an announcement. We can reveal that nobody will be leaving Strictly this weekend. You are all safe."

The reveal brought a loud round of applause from the audience, with the remaining six couples embracing on the stage as they celebrated. It was further explained that the scores from this week would roll over, with normal service being resumed next weekend.
The change in rules is likely already due to the fact that Neighbours legend Stefan Dennis, who was partnered with Dianne Buswell, had already withdrawn from the competition, meaning there was already one fewer couple than anticipated at this stage.
La Voix had previously addressed her withdrawal from the Blackpool week, saying: "It is with immense sadness that I have to withdraw from this weekend’s Strictly Come Dancing shows in Blackpool.

"Due to an injury, I’ve been advised that I’m unable to perform, and my heart truly breaks knowing I won’t be dancing in such an iconic venue. Aljaž and I have worked incredibly hard, and we were so excited to share our routine with everyone."
"I am devastated not to be joining the rest of the cast on that famous dancefloor, but my focus now is on recovery. I’ll be cheering on all the amazing couples this weekend," added the star.
Strictly Come Dancing airs on Saturdays on BBC One, while spin-off Strictly: It Takes Two airs on weeknights on BBC Two. Both shows are available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
