Celebrity Traitors finalist Nick Mohammed has opened up about the shocking finale, hinting that there was much more to his reaction after he found out who had won. According to the Ted Lasso star, there was "a lot more they edited out".

Coming to an end last week, the award-winning show saw Traitors Cat Burns and Alan Carr battle it out with the Faithfuls Joe Marler, David Olusoga, and Nick Mohammed for a chance to win the £100,000 prize for their chosen charity.

In a shocking twist of fate, Alan managed to take home a win for the Traitors after convincing Nick to banish his show bestie Joe.

In an interview with The Times, Nick opened up about the moment he found out that Alan revealed he was actually a Traitor, saying there was a lot that wasn't shown.

Describing what happened, Nick said he let slip a number of other swear words after being betrayed but was only shown saying, "Oh, f**k!"

"There was a lot more they edited out. I was effing and blinding, I was so shocked," he explained.

"Then I just lost control of my legs and I was on the floor, and then when Alan burst into tears I couldn't bear it, but I also thought, 'Oh my God, this is going to be great television'."

On what it would've been like to see the Faithfuls take home the prize, Nick added: "Nobody wanted to see me and David win together. It would've been so boring."

Speaking about what comes next, the actor said he wants to focus on his acting career, saying: "I have no desire to do anything like this again, to do reality TV. I want to act."

Following Alan's victory, the comedian said: "What an honour and a complete shock! If someone had told me week one that I would even be around in week two I wouldn’t have believed them, so to be crowned the winner is absolutely mindblowing. What an adventure!"

The Traitors returns to BBC One in the new year.
