Race Across the World has aired its final episode, with one couple coming on top after the last leg of the journey to Kanniyakumari.
After an emotional season taking them through China, Nepal and India, the four remaining duos got their race mode on one last time. From Panaji, in the state of Goa, all four teams hurried to the seventh checkpoint while soaking in their final moments in India.
This portion of the journey was as hectic as they come, with the teams expected to reach the southernmost tip of India.
Once in Kanniyakumari, they had to find the church of Shrine of Our Lady of Ransom and race by boat to the fishing village of Arockiapuram and find the Veerapandiya Kattabomman Memorial Fort.
Off the back of their headstart in Panaji, mother-son duo Caroline and Tom managed to reach the fort before the others, winning the season.

"Please sign in Overleaf to find out if you have won the race and 20,000," Tom read before turning the page and realise they had bested their competition.
"I felt such a failure to begin with," an emotional Caroline said as she hugged Tom.
"That's a really good feeling. I'm lost for words, I can't believe it."
"I've never thought we'd come this far. I've never thought we'd achieve this much, and I've never been prouder of my mum," Tom shared to the cameras later. "She got me through it."
"Whilst I'm standing here, sweaty, smelly, exhausted, I'm actually feeling on top of the world," Caroline said.
Trailing behind Caroline and Tom in a tight race were sisters Elizabeth and Letitia — only 19 minutes behind the winners — and teen couple Fin and Sioned.
Meanwhile, brothers Brian and Melvyn couldn't make up for the 17-hour hold-up in the previous leg and arrived to the fort more than three hours later.

The teams reunited to celebrate, congratulating Tom and Caroline for their progress after a rocky start earlier in the season.
"Caroline and Tom, the pair of you have worked so hard on this race," Brian told the winners. "You've got all of our respect."
