BBC Radio 1 star Mollie King has announced the heartbreaking loss of her dog Alfie.
The DJ and Saturdays singer took to her Instagram page earlier this week to confirm the sad news, sharing that the beloved pet had been by her side for almost half of her life.
"Goodbye to my little boy, Alfie," Mollie began as she shared a reel of adorable pictures of the late dog. "Alfie was by my side for almost half my life and I can't believe he is no longer here.
"I still remember the day I brought him home and he was tiny enough to fit in my shoe. We had so much fun together and he would come with me on so many adventures!
"Even though he was tiny, he was always there looking out for me, ready to snuggle on the sofa when I needed it with his adorable smile."

The star has received a number of supportive messages in the comments, with Radio 1 co-presenter Matt Edmondson writing: "He was the absolute best, and I shall miss cuddles with him. X."
"Oh Molly….I’m so sorry. Hold your memories close. Sending you love and a huge hug," added Loose Women's Ruth Langsford, while Izzy Judd wrote: "So much love Molly."
