Strictly Come Dancing's Shirley Ballas has called for a "non-celebrity" version of show.
Since joining the panel in 2017, head judge Shirley has critiqued a range of famous faces across eight seasons of the popular dance show. She has seen stars such as Chris McCausland, Ellie Leach, Hamza Yassin, Rose Ayling-Ellis and Bill Bailey all lift the coveted glitterball trophy.
But, while fans tune in every year to watch their favourite celebrities, Shirley has suggested a different approach for the new series.
"I'm sure the BBC will do all the things they need to make the show just as exciting every year. But you'll see a few changes," she hinted to The Sun.
"I'd like to see a member of the public there, that would be amazing. Like a non-celebrity version."

Addressing the show's upcoming line-up, Shirley said: "You'll have to wait and see, I would absolutely love to be back."
Elsewhere in Strictly news, Janette Manrara and Aljaž Škorjanec recently opened up about their "stressful" life change after moving into a new home. The married couple told the Mirror that they had been forced to move back down south after just two years in the Cheshire countryside.

"We tried it this year with me commuting to London for It Takes Two and Aljaž staying down in London for the whole series of Strictly," Janette explained, adding that she and daughter Lyra were travelling twice a week and staying in hotels.
"It's just not feasible for us to do that because the priority is family and spending time together and Lyra's well-being and that is not going to be sustainable if Aljaž is going back to Strictly, which hopefully he is," she said.
"So we thought it’s better to be closer to London and at least we have slightly more guarantee that Lyra will have a bit more normalcy in her life."
Strictly Come Dancing airs on Saturdays on BBC One, while spin-off Strictly: It Takes Two airs on weeknights on BBC Two. Both shows are available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
