Davina McCall has opened up about the "hardest thing she's ever been through" during a tearful moment on tonight's Comic Relief.
Appearing as a host on this year's Comic Relief: Funny for Money, Davina recalled an emotional year in which the presenter was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor and underwent surgery.
Back in November, the Masked Singer judge confirmed she had been diagnosed with a brain tumour before updating fans on how her surgery had gone.
Speaking about the difficult year tonight, she said: "I had a pretty mad year this year. Doctors found a benign brain tumour by chance and, after a lot of deliberating, I had it removed."

Becoming tearful, Davina continued: "And it's been quite possibly the hardest thing I've ever been through. But this whole experience, weighing up all the risks and all the positive things about having this tumour removed made me really think deeply about what life is all about and what really matters when things get tough."

After taking a break to compose herself, Davina thanked her friends, family and boyfriend Michael for their support while the audience cheered her on.
"I needed the brilliance and the skill of lots of experts to make me ok and, my goodness, I've needed the love and support of my friends and family," she said. "And particularly of Michael to get me through."

During the moving speech, Davina said she "was so lucky" to have the support she had before highlighting Comic Relief's "wonderful projects".
"Tonight really made me think there are so many people who are scared, they are in trouble, they're in danger," she said. "And they don't have the friends and the support and the money I did. I know I was so lucky."
After the emotional speech, Davina's co-host Alesha Dixon joined her on stage, giving the former Big Brother presenter a big hug and saying: "I love you."
