Nikita Kuzmin has revealed some of his career plans away from Strictly Come Dancing – confirming he has musical aspirations.
The dancer has been a regular on the show since 2021, most recently being paired with Sam Quek and the year before that with Layton Williams, in which he reached the final.
Nikita has now revealed that he has been taking singing lessons, and hopes to do a musical and maybe even embark on a solo music career.

"There are things which I’m saving for next year, and singing is one of them," he told The Sun. "I’ve been taking singing lessons for a couple of years.
"I would love to do a musical. I wouldn’t mind doing music. I’m not against anything that is new and exciting. Potentially going into films. But I think a musical is my next step."

Meanwhile, last year the dancer hilariously apologised to pop icon Shakira after previewing a song he was dancing to the following week on the show, only to sing the wrong one of her songs.
In an official Instagram upload of the clip, Nikita later commented: "OMG sorry Shakira. The thing is, I already started choreographing to the song hahahaha." He later made up for the blunder with another song rendition.
In other Strictly news, 2024 star Sarah Hadland recently revealed that she almost withdrew from the 2025 live tour after an emotional "wobble".
Strictly Come Dancing airs on Saturdays on BBC One, while spin-off Strictly: It Takes Two airs on weeknights on BBC Two. Both shows are available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
