Strictly Come Dancing star Pete Wicks shut down questions regarding his love life during an appearance on Lorraine, saying he was leaving talking about who he's dating "in the past".
The reality star, who made it to the semi-finals of the latest season of BBC show alongside professional partner Jowita Przystal, has been romantically linked with Love Island and I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! star Maura Higgins in recent months. However, neither have officially confirmed a relationship.
During an appearance on Lorraine on Wednesday (January 8), Pete was once again asked about his personal life when host Lorraine Kelly quizzed: “With all this going on, have you no time for romance?”

“I wondered how long that was going to take,” he replied, as he gestured towards his watch.
A smirking Lorraine then responded: “You can tell me! You can tell me!”

But the former The Only Way Is Essex star was reluctant to divulge. “Really nice try. But, you know what, I’ve left the talking about the romance thing in the past. Really nice try though, really appreciate that,” he said.
Lorraine then teased him further by saying: “You can tell me after.”

Though Pete refused to speak about Maura on the ITV show, he did recently offer some insight into their relationship status.
“We've known each other for a very, very long time. We're very close," he told The Times.
“But a lot of being in the public eye is that people assume that you have to tell everyone all about your private life and I've never, never done that,” he continued.

The interview came as Maura revealed in a separate interview last month that she was “single”.
“Can I just set something straight – I don't have a mystery man. I don't. I'm single,” she told Cosmopolitan.
“I think people are just very invested in my love life. But as you've all seen from the jungle, there's a lot more layers to me than the man I'm dating.”
Strictly Come Dancing airs on Saturdays on BBC One, while spin-off Strictly: It Takes Two airs on weeknights on BBC Two. Both shows are available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
