I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! spoilers follow.

I'm a Celebrity has confirmed its first finalist in Oti Mabuse as the former Strictly Come Dancing pro has secured a ticket to the Celebrity Cyclone Bushtucker Trial.

In tonight's (December 5) episode, hosts Ant and Dec showed up at the camp to announce the four finalists. Oti, Maura Higgins, Danny Jones and Coleen Rooney were in with a chance to win the coveted ticket.

At the Arcade of Agony, each celebrity was placed inside one of four gameplay areas and tasked with recovering ten battle blocks and placing them into a grid in front of them to make a perfect rectangle.

Of course, it wouldn't be I'm a Celeb if the stars didn't end up covered in jungle slime, critters and fish guts whilst trying to complete the trial.

Oti had an interesting strategy compared to her fellow celebrities.

The professional dancer didn't shy away from getting her hands dirty, laying all ten blocks out on the floor first and then fitting them like a puzzle to visually determine how they would fit in the grid.

She thus managed to best her three campmates, finishing the task and running outside her play area to press the golden buzzer and get the ticket.

"Her civil engineer brain came into play," Danny said later on when she was announced as the winner.

Meanwhile, Oti was beaming holding onto her ticket, though she admitted that a shower wasn't enough to get rid of the terrible smell from the trial.

"Even when I'm clean, I feel nasty," Oti told the cameras after the challenge.

The prize will grant Oti immunity for the next two vote offs, as well as earning her a place in the Celebrity Cyclone. This meant she was virtually in the finale, while the other seven were all at risk of being voted out of the jungle .

Following tonight's public vote, Maura and Barry McGuigan were the ones who'd received the fewest votes and had to leave the jungle in a shocking double elimination.

I'm a Celebrity… airs on ITV1 and ITVX.
