I'm a Celebrity star Maura Higgins has joked about her kiss with Pete Wicks.
There has been a lot of speculation surrounding Maura and Pete's relationship after they were spotted sharing a kiss outside the Broadwick Soho Hotel in August.
Tonight (December 2), the reality star opened up about dating in the public eye, following her appearance on Love Island in 2019.
"With the press, they only give a shit about my love life," she told GK Barry. "I get it in a sense because I know I was on a dating show, but it was five years ago."
Maura recalled how she was asked by the press if she was dating the TOWIE star, to which she replied: "You know more than me! No, I'm single, not in a relationship."

"People can date, not be in a relationship and take things slow without the media getting involved in your shit," she continued. "What's the point in getting them involved too soon, when you just don't know where it's gonna go, you know?"
Speaking about the viral kiss, Maura added: "Well, we've already been papped, tongues down each other's necks and we had no idea!
"The funniest part is I had a vape in one hand and a cigarette in the other, living my best life before the jungle."
Maura went on to reveal that being in the public eye has been "very hard" for her, especially after moving to the UK from rural Ireland.
"Being in the public eye, at the beginning, I have to say it was very, very hard," she explained in the Bush Telegraph.

"It was extra hard because I moved country at the same time. I'm still just that little girl from the middle of Ireland surrounded by cows and sheep!"
The news comes after Maura explained that she was seeing someone before flying to Australia for the show, though she reiterated that she was "not in a relationship".
When Dean McCullough then asked if the reality star was seeing somebody who's also famous, Maura responded: "Yeah."
Pete has since shared his support for Maura, urging his Instagram followers to vote to keep her in the jungle.
Tonight's episode of I'm a Celeb also saw Tulisa Contostavlos become the third celebrity to leave the camp, while Coleen Rooney and Alan Halsall won all 10 stars in the latest Bushtucker trial.
