If you've watched any TV lately, you've probably seen quite a lot of Owen Wilson.
No, we are not talking repeats of Wedding Crashers or The Royal Tenenbaums here, but that seemingly inescapable Sofology advert.
In it, the Hollywood star waxes lyrical about the joys of being at home, opening with the quote: "People are usually happiest at home."
"You wanna know who said that? Shakespeare!" he adds in his typically wooow-ish Wilson way.
Except, it turns out, that was not actually a quote from Shakespeare. In fact, it doesn't even seem to be a real quote at all. Mind. Blown.
According to The Guardian, there is no actual evidence of the Bard ever uttering those olde words.
What to Read Next
The article reveals how staff at Shakespeare's Globe searched through the education department's library and found nothing, the closest being quotes along not-too-dissimilar lines from some of his plays.
In As You Like It, there is the quotation: "When I was at home, I was in a better place. But travellers must be content."

Now that this #FakeShakespeareNews has disappointed all us prospective sofa buyers, we will have to cheer ourselves up with something. Perhaps Wilson saying "wow" over and over again?
