EastEnders spoilers follow.

EastEnders' Eve Panesar-Unwin is set to face a sad new setback with foster child Ria. Last week viewers saw Eve and wife Suki finally approved as foster parents, with Ria coming to stay with them.

But Ria has, understandably, had difficulty opening up so far, with Suki seeming to be able to connect with the little girl better than Eve.

That's not all, as Eve always has the threat of Nicola sharing the CCTV footage from the night she hit her hanging over her head.

In scenes to air next week on Tuesday 7 July and Thursday 9 July, Suki will join Nicola and Linda to help find Honey after she's kidnapped by Bea.

Back at home later on in the week, Eve continues to struggle in bonding with Ria, who is instead gravitating towards Suki.

Will Eve be able to make progress with her new foster daughter?

Our Eastenders insider told us: "While people may have assumed that Suki's stern demeanour would cause problems with Ria, the two of them strike up an easy bond.

"It's difficult for Eve as she feels left out in the cold, although the couple always knew that there'd be challenges and they've taken a mature approach from day one. Can Eve overcome these early hurdles?"

Next week is set to be a dramatic one on Albert Square with Bea kidnapping Honey after she tries to get her to come clean and admit she lied about Billy.

Bea will eventually find herself being held hostage in a cottage, with her friends on Albert Square desperately looking for her.

Our Walford spy told us: "Imagine being at the mercy of one of the most unpredictable and seriously disturbed individuals that Walford has ever seen,.

"While Bea is saying that she just wants to sort things out, her actions are telling a very different story. It's hard to see how they can both get out of this without someone getting badly hurt."

EastEnders airs on Mondays-Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
