After a host of British stars were announced for the new season of Only Murders in the Building as the cosy crime takes over London, we've finally got a first snap of one of the show's newcomers in a brand new role. Rivals star David Tennant has been spotted on set as the protagonist trio Steve Martin, Martin Short and Selena Gomez investigate the murder of fellow podcaster, Cinda Canning.
Played by Tina Fey, the true crime podcaster was murdered just outside the gates of the Arconia at the end of season 5, with the upcoming sixth chapter seeing Charles, Oliver and Mabel cross the pond to shed light on her death.
Cinda was investigating the case of a red-haired woman accused of killing a royal descendant in London. After she successfully managed to allow the woman to walk free, the podcaster was seen rocking a copper wig as she rushed through the streets of NYC. Presumably attacked, red-haired Cinda dragged herself to the Arconia, where she died in front of the shocked residents.

Now, it seems the series is filming the flashback scenes from Cinda's involvement in the royal murder case as the podcaster, sporting a short hairdo, is seen leaving a London courthouse.
Scottish star Tennant has been snapped on set of the new season as he plays a photographer, with Jim Broadbent also having started filming his scenes.

Branded a "genuinely gripping" murder mystery (via The Guardian) with an "outstanding" ensemble (via FandomWire), Only Murders in the Building has kept its critic ratings consistently high since its first season. On Rotten Tomatoes, the series debuted with a 100% score on season 1, dropping slightly to 98%, 97%, 93% and 89% for its subsequent seasons.
Only Murders in the Building season 6 is set to air on Disney+ and Hulu. Seasons 1-5 can be found on the same platforms.
