Though it premiered on Paramount+ last year, Little Disasters has found a new lease of life after beginning its run on 5 earlier this week. And, ahead of the third episode tonight, the series is at the top of the streamer's chart.

The psychological thriller is based on Sarah Vaughan's bestselling 2020 novel of the same name, and follows a group of four female friends as a mysterious and tragic event threatens their bond.

Jess (Diane Kruger) rushes to hospital after her baby suffers a head injury, with the figure going to close friend Liz (Jo Joyner), an A&E doctor. As the cause of the incident remains unclear, Liz considers calling social services.

In Digital Spy's three-star review of the first three episodes last year, we opined: "Little Disasters feels an appropriate name for the new mystery thriller… While it is a compelling watch, the show's little errors prevent it from being a five-star drama."

"Little Disasters is still a great binge-watching experience. The dynamics between the women and their husbands, as well as the buried secrets woven in between, are enough to drive you to the finish," we added.

Little Disasters is streaming on 5.
