The 2026 FIFA World Cup has finally kicked off (sorry), and Scotland have qualified for the first time since 1998. The Tartan Army are poised to compete in Group C alongside Brazil, Morocco and Haiti as they attempt to advance to the knockout stage.
Captained by Andy Robertson, the team's first game is against Haiti on Sunday (14 June) at the Gillette Stadium near Boston, USA. Scotland fans have descended on the East Coast city in their droves, with BBC News reporting that an estimated 30,000 are expected.

How to watch Haiti v Scotland in the UK
The match is airing on BBC One and BBC iPlayer as part of Match of the Day Live. Kick-off might be 9pm in Boston, but here in the UK it's at 2am.
Coverage starts at 1:10am, with Kelly Cates presenting. The programme is scheduled to end at 4:35am, so let's hope that there's not an abundance of added time due to VAR stoppages!

When is Scotland's next game?
After facing Haiti, the squad will meet Morocco - again at the Gillette Stadium - next Friday (19 June). From there, they'll face Brazil at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami on Wednesday 24 June.
UK fans will be pleased to know that those two games both start at 6:00pm local time, meaning they'll be on back here at the slightly earlier time of 11:00pm. The fixture versus Morocco will be on ITV1, while the game against Brazil will be on BBC One.

When is England's first game?
England are in Group L alongside Croatia, Ghana and Panama, with Croatia being their first opponents.
That match will take place on Wednesday (June 17) at 3:00pm in Arlington, Texas. That'll be 9:00pm back home, and it airs on ITV1 with presenter Mark Pougatch.
When is the World Cup Final?
The 2026 FIFA World Cup will wrap up with the final on Sunday 19 July, from the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. It'll start at 3:00pm local time, which is 8pm UK time.
Similar to the Super Bowl in the US, it has been confirmed that a halftime show will be produced for the final, with Madonna and Shakira set to perform.
