A new teaser of a thriller show from the creator of Yellowstone has just dropped. Created by Taylor Sheridan, Lioness follows a team of female CIA operatives who go undercover in the war on terror.
The show stars Zoe Saldaña (Avatar) as Joe McNamara, who leads the team as a senior case officer, Laysla De Oliveria (Locke and Key) as Cruz Manuelos, a Lioness-operative-turned-US Army Delta force operator, and Nicole Kidman (Babygirl) as Kaitlyn Meade, Joe's boss.
Season one saw Joe leading the takedown of a terrorist cell, while season two focuses on the kidnapping of a important political figure. And season three is said to be deploying the team on their most personal mission yet.

Hidden networks, foreign operatives, and personal betrayals all collide as Joe balances the line between duty and home. Alongside Kidman, Saldaña and De Oliveira returning to their roles, a few big names will be joining them.
Lioness season three's cast also includes Morgan Freeman (The Shawshank Redemption), Michael Kelly (House of Cards), Dave Annable (Yellowstone), Jill Wagner (Mystery 101), LaMonica Garrett (1883), James Jordan (True Blood), and Genesis Rodriguez (Tusk).

Reviews of season 2 were pretty positive, with TV Line writing: "Simply said, the Zoe Saldaña-led spy thriller's sophomore run is fantastic, and stands as one of the year's best TV shows."
Meanwhile, Collider said: "Lioness gets deeper and better in a slow-burn second season that heads in a strong direction for the series."

The series, which is executive produced by Sheridan, Kidman, and Saldaña, will return to Paramount+ with season three on 2 August.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Saldaña said season 3 was such a "demanding" season that she didn't think she could accomplish what was being asked of her, adding: "I had various conversations with Taylor [Sheridan] in terms of where he was gonna take it, and I really am so happy and proud of the direction that he eventually took.
"It was very demanding, I'm not gonna lie. [Laughs] And I didn't even know if I was gonna be able to pull it off."
