Ben Shephard had landed a new role. Teaming up with Men's Health, the This Morning co-host has signed on to co-host Built For Life – a weekly podcast "built around practical science, actionable training and mental fitness advice for men of all ages". Presenting alongside Men's Health UK's Fitness Director, Andrew Tracey, the pair will speak with an array of guests, including Michelin-star chef Tom Aikens and Made in Chelsea favourite Spencer Matthews.
The first episode, which is slated to premiere on Thursday, 22 January, will see Shephard and Tracey interviewing UFC star Paddy Pimblett ahead of his fight against Justin Gaethje at UFC 324 in Las Vegas.
Ahead of the podcast's launch, Shephard shared his excitement in a statement. "The chance to work with Andrew Tracey – who is such a mine of knowledge, experience and practical ideas – and the Men's Health team was something I jumped at," he said.
"I love Men's Health and everything it represents, and to be able to quiz all these brilliant minds and talented individuals who share our passion for health and wellbeing, whether they're chefs, broadcasters, athletes, musicians, physicians or simply passionate amateurs, is truly inspiring. I feel like a kid in a sweet shop, just with less sweets and more protein!"
Tracey added: "Our focus at Men's Health UK has always been to cut through the noise and hype – providing measured, scientific and expert consensus, alongside inspirational and actionable real-world advice.

"A friend asked me what the one exercise was that made the biggest difference. It's not an exercise, it's consistency. Just turning up and being accountable," Shephard told the publication.
He added: "There are loads of fitness influencers that aren't just in their twenties and thirties, but in their fifties, sixties and seventies – still doing it, still living, still owning it, still looking fantastic. I find that incredibly inspiring."
