Outrageous, the must-watch period drama branded "impossible not to binge in one go", has landed a new streaming home in the UK. Based on the real life Mitford family, the show follows six different sisters with wildly different political ideals.
Set in the 1930s ahead of World War II, the show follows the controversial sisters as they take different paths, with some leading to devastating consequences.
The logline reads: "A family saga like no other. Betrayal, scandal, romance and radicalisation. Six aristocratic sisters come of age during the turbulent 1930s. This is the true story of the Mitfords."
Bridgerton's Bessie Carter stars in the lead role as Nancy Mitford. She is joined on the cast by Shannon Watson, Joanna Vanderham, Zoe Brough, Isobel Jesper Jones and Orla Hill.
Written by Sarah Williams and based on Mary S Lovell's biography The Mitford Girls, Outrageous is now available to stream on Channel 4 as part of its collaboration with UKTV’s U service.

Popular among audiences and critics alike, here at Digital Spy, we gave the series a five-star review, calling Outrageous "well paced".
Over on IMDb, the show has a rating of 7.4 out of 10, with one audience review saying the show was "outrageously good", adding: "My only complaint is that we don't have a second series yet. It's brilliantly addictive, almost impossible not to binge in one go."
"It's easy to dismiss the Mitfords as posh, privileged and irrelevant, but that would be a mistake," penned another, writing: "The main theme of the first series, which only goes up to 1937, is the issue of how people can easily get swept up into extremist movements, which is just as relevant today as it was in the 1930s."

Another fan of the show wrote: "Please give us another season of Outrageous! The first season was magnificent in every way. The story is compelling and made more so by the fact that it's based on a crazy but true story."
Not all the reviews were favourable, with one person calling Outrageous "dire", saying: " In order to submit a review you have to write 300 words but truly there's nothing to say. Bad acting bad bad bad costumes bad script. How many ways to say bad."
Outrageous is now streaming on Channel 4.
