UKTV has released a series of first look images of the upcoming second season of Bergerac. Starring The Split actor Damien Molony, the returning reboot of hit 1980s detective drama is described as "twisty".
A modern re-imagining of the '80s series starring John Nettles, the U and U&DRAMA series stars Molony as the titular detective as he grapples with life as a widower and recovering alcoholic.
Reprising their roles from season one are Zoë Wanamaker, Robert Gilbert, Sasha Behar and Chloé Sweetlove. They are joined by newcomers to the cast Adrian Edmondson, Lesley Sharp, Camilla Beeput, Turlough Convery, and Charles Dale.
The newly-released images give fans a glimpse at the cast on location in Jersey while offering a look at the new cast members in character.
Among those pictured are Sharp, who is set to play a character named Monica, and Convery, who is playing a man named Michael. Edmondson is also featured in the new pics as Nigel, who is Wanamaker's character's new love interest.

What to Read Next
Per the synopsis, season two "will see Jim Bergerac starting to put his life back together, while his mother-in-law Charlie Hungerford (Wanamaker) has a new man in her life".
In the second series Jim is "tentatively dating" when he meets a visitor to Jersey named Nicola (Beeput) who he forms a connection with.
"However, before the relationship even has time to blossom, Jim is pulled back into his next big case," the synopsis continues.
"When the groom at a wedding reception on the island is found murdered in his hotel room, the wedding party comes under intense suspicion and scrutiny.
"Jim will have to decipher the victim’s cryptic last words from his speech if he is ever going to bring the killer to justice. And when Jim starts to unravel old secrets, more skeletons come to light, making this his most intricate case yet."
Speaking about season two earlier this year, Helen Perry, UKTV's Head of Drama, said lead writer Toby Whithouse has done a "remarkable job".
She added: "Viewers loved the first series, so we're thrilled to be taking them back to the beautiful island of Jersey for another thrilling investigation that's even more twisty than the first."
Filming has wrapped on the highly anticipated second season of Bergerac, which will return to U and U&DRAMA in 2026.
Bergerac is available to stream for free on U.
