Judy Reyes and John C. McGinley will reprise their roles as nurse Carla Espinosa and Dr. Perry Cox in the Scrubs reboot.
According to Deadline, both Reyes and Cox have signed on in a recurring capacity. They are set to reunite with their former co-stars Zach Braff, Donald Faison and Sarah Chalke, all of whom are billed as series leads and executive producers.
"JD and Turk scrub in together for the first time in a long time. Medicine has changed, interns have changed, but their bromance has stood the test of time," teases the logline. "Characters new and old navigate the waters of Sacred Heart with laughter, heart and some surprises along the way."
Taking to Instagram this week, Reyes confirmed her involvement in the reboot, writing: "So thrilled to get back together with my Scrubs family!!"
Scrubs, which aired from 2001 to 2010, followed a group of medical interns and their mentors as they trained at the fictional Sacred Heart Hospital. While five of the show's core cast members are ready to reprise their roles in the reboot, fans are still waiting to hear if Ken Jenkins and Neil Flynn will be back as Bob Kelso and Janitor.

Back in February, the show's creator, Bill Lawrence, gave Variety an update on the reboot. "We're in the process of, the cool thing, putting the writers together," he said.
"And it's the best thing in the world to see that some of the most talented writers in the world wrote on that show, and they're all still friends, and my friends. And so [we] have a combination of the old and new. We're just starting to build it right now. And I expect it to make an appearance very soon."
Asked why he decided to bring back the sitcom, Lawrence explained: "I thought about it a lot, and I think the main impetus is selfish. It's that we're all friends, and we enjoy spending time together, and you can't meet a writer or an actor or actress on that show, a crew member, that didn't count that as one of the highlights of their career. And so all of us were like, even if it's just that, why not do it again? And that's part of the fun."
The Scrubs reboot will return to ABC in the 2025-2026 television season.
