Kevin McKidd's ITV thriller Six Four has landed a new streaming home in the UK.

Set in Scotland, the series follows DC Chris O'Neill (McKidd) and his wife Michelle (Vinette Robinson), the parents of a teenager who has disappeared.

While searching for his daughter Olivia, detective Chris revisits the cold case of a girl who also went missing 15 years ago. As he connects with the girl's father, Chris soon uncovers a strange link to his brother Phillip O'Neill, who was involved in the original case.

The four-part drama originally aired on ITV1 in 2023, before arriving on ITV's streaming service. Now, the full series is available to watch on Disney+ in the UK.

Six Four is adapted from Hideo Yokoyama's novel of the same and has been praised for its dark twists and compelling plot. Critics also noted the cast's "excellent performances", led by Grey's Anatomy star McKidd.

"Moody and dark, the main reason for watching this is Kevin McKidd who gives a stellar performance as a troubled police detective whose daughter has gone missing," wrote one IMDB user.

"While the plots has enough twists to avoid being in the paint by numbers school of thriller writing, watch it for McKidd as he gets inside the head of his character, a lowly ranked detective."

"This chewy conspiracy thriller had a lot going for it, not least its Glasgow setting... Another bonus was a convincingly crumpled Kevin McKidd playing a detective constable whose daughter had gone missing," echoed The Herald.

The London Evening Standard added: "The steady pacing and the careful focus on a small number of interesting characters make it easy to keep track. And the cast delivers excellent performances."

In an interview with Digital Spy, McKidd shared that he was drawn to the role after reading the opening scene, which saw Chris and Michelle waiting to identity the body of a teenage girl.

"It's every parent's worst nightmare come true. It's the worst day that can happen in a parent's life. And I just thought that was such an amazing and powerful starting point to suck the audience in," he explained.

Six Four is streaming on Disney+ in the UK.
