Titled Raakh, the Indian investigative crime thriller sees The Broken News actor Sonali Bendre and Tiger 3's Aamir Bashir join Fazal on the cast.

Taking to Instagram, Prime Video India announced the new series with a promotional poster from the upcoming show.

Sharing a picture of Fazal in police uniform, they captioned the post: "JUSTICE will rise from the ashes #RaakhOnPrime, New Original Series, Coming 2026."

Described as "a highly emotional story", Raakh is set for release next year, though an exact release date is yet to be announced.

Speaking about the new show, Nikhil Madhok, director and head of originals at Prime Video India, said: "At Prime Video, we want to continue pushing the boundaries of traditional storytelling and bring nuanced narratives to our customers (per Variety).

"At the surface Raakh is a thriller replete with unexpected turns and high stakes drama. However, at the core this is a highly emotional story that will stay with audiences long after they have finished watching it."
