Returning British thriller series Sweetpea has been given a big cast update, with a few new faces set to join the ensemble for season 2.
The Sky show debuted last year and follows a wallflower called Rhiannon Lewis (Ella Purnell) who develops a taste for murder following a series of unfortunate events.
It was quickly renewed for a second run in December, and with production now commencing on the new episodes, some fresh cast additions have been confirmed.
They include Friday Night Dinner star Tamsin Greig as the mother of AJ (Calam Lynch), and Overcompensating's Rish Shah as Rhiannon's romantic interest Gabriel, according to Deadline.
Also announced are Line of Duty's Taj Atwal as Rhiannon's new boss Freya, and Heartstopper's Jenny Walser as new friend Daisy.
Season 2 sees Rhiannon navigating a new work promotion, a rebound, her sister selling the family home, a copycat killer threatening to reveal all, as well as Marina hot on her trail.

With her kill list increasing and her rage now harnessed, she starts to question whether AJ was right about her being a monster.
Sky previously teased that the new episodes will see the character "return with a vengeance as her killer secret continues to spiral, and she becomes more twisted than ever".
"We are thrilled that Sweetpea and the world of Carnsham are back in full swing for Season 2, with new and exciting characters for what promises to be an intoxicating ride for Rhiannon as she continuous on her murderous journey," Purnell and executive producers Ella Jones and Patrick Walters said.

"This season, the stakes are even higher, and as the consequences of her actions begin to close in, questions of morality and justice will come into play."
Sweetpea's first season largely drew acclaim, sitting at an impressive 87% fresh score on Rotten Tomatoes.
TIME wrote that the series "finds a bountiful source of suspense in the question of whether we’re watching the blossoming of a wallflower or the making of a monster".
Den of Geek's review read: "Sharply written, deliciously entertaining, and darkly funny, Sweetpea is a stirring, sinister series bolstered by a killer performance."
Sweetpea airs on Sky and NOW in the UK, and Starz in the US. A release date for season 2 is yet to be announced.
