Plenty of comedians, including a heap of Taskmaster favourites, are reuniting for an upcoming project.

Clash of the Comics, the event that sees a host of famous stand-ups enter the wrestling ring, is coming back for another round after previous shows at the Edinburgh Fringe and elsewhere.

New names have just been announced for the part comedy/part wrestling event that will take place at London's Eventim Apollo on October 8, with tickets available at AEG or Ticketmaster.

Previously confirmed participants include James Acaster, Phil Wang, Aisling Bea, Ed Gamble, Rosie Jones, Nish Kumar, Max & Ivan, Maisie Adam, Abi Clarke, Olga Koch, Matthew Crosby, Jazz Emu and Flo & Joan - and now Rose Matafeo and Kiell Smith-Bynoe will also be entering the ring.

Sara Pascoe will be joining Nish and Greg Davies to provide commentary, while Joe Lycett has been announced as CEO of the company (following a drunk purchase) which gives him the power to alter the rules as he likes on the night.

In addition to the previously announced grudge match between Phil and Ed, Maisie will be taking on professional wrestler Nina Samuels, while James will be taking on... well, it could be anyone.

The Hypothetical host has laid down the 'James Acaster Open Challenge', in which he vows to take "on absolutely anyone in the world of comedy or wrestling", while making "the greatest entrance you've ever seen".
