The Traitors: Uncloaked star Ed Gamble has revealed how he would fare in the celebrity version of the show.

The comedian hosts the companion series/podcast for the hit reality game show, which sees contestants grill and deceive each other in a bid to win a huge jackpot.

In an interview with Radio Times, Gamble was quizzed about the recently confirmed celebrity version of The Traitors, and which comedians he would like to see in the castle.

"First off, I don't know anything about the celebrity version. But there are lots of comedians I would absolutely love to see do it – Nish Kumar, Josh Widdicombe, Rosie Jones – although I don't think they'd be any good at it!" he said. "Judi Love, too – she's such an open book, but I think she could also be good at deceiving people."

The star then admitted he would be "terrible" on the show, even suggesting his poor gameplay would ruin his career.

"I would be arrogant going in, and then absolutely crumble whether I was a Traitor or a Faithful. I'd probably come out the back end of it with no career because I'd be so bad at the game!" Gamble said.

Elsewhere in the interview, Gamble teased the "intriguing" third season of the show, which is set to arrive on New Year's Day (January 1, 2025).

"It's exciting just seeing the new gang going into the castle. You watch people and think, 'I wonder if you're the one who's going to capture everyone's hearts – or be the villain?'" he said.

"I think it's shaping up to be a very, very good series. It's got all of those elements that you love, but new twists and new, exciting things along the way."

The Traitors series 1-2 are streaming on BBC iPlayer. Two more series and a celebrity spin-off have already been confirmed.
