Season 2 of Australian crime drama Scrublands is now available to stream in the UK.

Titled Scrublands: Silver, chapter 2 of the series follows journalist Martin Scarsden, with Luke Arnold reprising the role from season 1. The new instalment has just been added to BBC iPlayer, with all four episodes available to stream now.

After uncovering the truth behind the murder that rocked the quiet town of Riversend, Martin and his partner Mandy Bond (Bella Heathcote) are now back in his hometown of Port Silver.

Things take an eerie turn when Martin's best friend Jasper Speight is found dead and Mandy becomes the prime suspect in the murder investigation.

On IMDb, viewers have hailed the first season as "impressive" and praised its strong hook.

"I thought this was a really good little series," one viewer wrote. "At four episodes it didn't outstay its welcome but similarly didn't feel rushed. The opening scenes immediately grabs one's attention and further revelations keep one gripped."

Someone else called it an "enjoyable slow-burn drama", however one fan of the books shared a disappointed review of season 2.

"Watch the show, if you haven't read the book. If you have read Silver, find something else to watch," they wrote.

Scrublands season 1 and Scrublands: Silver are streaming on BBC iPlayer.
