Sheridan Smith is currently storming the Netflix charts with her ITV miniseries Cilla, which has been trending on the streamer since its addition.

The biographical drama, which follows the story of Cilla Black, recently entered the UK Top 10 over a decade after its initial release.

The current big Smith hit first aired back in 2014 and charts the Liverpudlian singer's rise to fame in the city's clubs, her romantic life as well as her friendship with fellow Liverpool icons The Beatles.

The show received a positive reception, with The Guardian calling Smith's performance "extraordinary", while fans suggested it was the "best drama series on TV for years".

This three-part drama drew huge acclaim when it was released in 2022. The series tells the true story of Anthony Walgate, Gabriel Kovari, Daniel Whitworth and Jack Taylor – four gay men who were murdered by serial killer Stephen Port between 2014 and 2015.

Four Lives comes from creator Neil McKay and focuses on the victims' families, who fought for justice amid police failings, with Smith playing the role of Walgate's mother Sarah Sak. The Outlaws' Stephen Merchant plays Port, while the series also stars Tim Preston, Jakub Svec, Leo Flanagan and Paddy Rowan.

Smith stars in the 2012 second season of this BBC One anthology show that focuses on a character awaiting trial, flashing back to how they were accused in the first place.

The actor plays the role of Charlotte, starring alongside the likes of future Oscar-winner Olivia Colman, Game of Thrones' Sean Bean, Adolescence's Stephen Graham, Bad Sisters' Anne-Marie Duff and comedian John Bishop.

Accused comes from Time's Jimmy McGovern, and the first season recently gained a new lease of life with viewers after being added to Prime Video.

The 2019 drama sees Smith play Sam, a cleaner who is struggling with debt, addiction and a custody battle before learning financial secrets and turning to insider trading.

Cleaning Up earned critical acclaim upon its initial release – with an impressive 92% fresh score on Rotten Tomatoes – and gained a new following last year when it was added to Netflix (though it's since been removed).

The show comes from Mark Marlow, and also features His Dark Materials' Jade Anouka, Andor's Ben Bailey Smith, Casualty's Uriel Emil and Chernobyl's Robert Emms.

Gavin and Stacey

One of Smith's most recognisable roles, the actor played the role of Smithy's (James Corden) sister Ruth – or 'Rudi' – in the classic BBC comedy, which follows the family and friends of the titular couple in Billericay and Barry.

Created by Corden and Ruth Jones, the series concluded its run with a big Christmas special last year – which broke the record for the most-watched scripted show since records began in 2002, while Smith also returned for the one-off.

The show also stars Corden and Jones alongside Matthew Horne, Joanna Page, Rob Brydon and Alison Steadman.

This ITV drama sees Smith portray mother Kathy, who is on an idyllic beach holiday in Turkey with her family when her child Noah is arrested and thrown in jail, and finds herself fighting in a legal system she doesn't understand as she tries to free her son.

Originally airing in 2022, No Return comes from Fool Me Once's Danny Brocklehurst, and also stars Michael Jibson as Martin and The Kid Who Would Be King's Louis Ashbourne Serkis as Noah.

At the time of its release, Smith admitted she found filming the subject matter gruelling, recalling that she was "mentally exhausted" by the end.
