Channel 4 has confirmed the cast for its new legal drama Pierre, starring Sherwood and Homeland actor David Harewood.

The new legal series, which is sure to delight fans of The Split, stars Harewood as a West London duty solicitor named Pierre alongside Hard Truths actor Michele Austin, who plays Pierre's managing partner Charlotte Manners.

Joining them in the cast are Jason Flemyng, Dean-Charles Chapman, Nikkita Chadha, Christopher Fairbank, Sara Powell, and Cherrelle Skeete; as well as newcomers Dylan Ennis and Ezrae Maye.

Directed by Sarmad Masud, the upcoming series, which has yet to announce a release date, sees playwright Roy Williams take on co-writing duties along with John Donnelly.

Produced by The Lighthouse, the new six-part original drama follows the titular solicitor as he begins to investigate the death of a young client.
