Prime Video's upcoming thriller series Vanished, starring Peaky Blinders actor Sam Claflin and The Big Bang Theory's Kaley Cuoco, has officially started production.
The four-part series will star Cuoco as a woman named Alice, who is "plunged into a web of intrigue and danger" as she investigates the mysterious disappearance of her boyfriend Tom (Claflin).
"When a couple’s trip to Paris takes a dark turn with the sudden disappearance of her boyfriend Tom aboard a train to the south of France, Alice is plunged into a web of intrigue and danger, uncovering shocking secrets about the man she thought she knew," reads the official synopsis.
It has now been confirmed that Vanished has started production in Marseille, France, ahead of its launch on Prime Video next year.
"With Kaley and Sam leading an incredible cast, this gripping thriller will keep viewers guessing at every turn," said Tushar Jindal, Head of Content Acquisitions at Prime Video UK.

Vanished is being directed by Barnaby Thompson from a script written by Preston Thompson. The pair are also on board as executive producers.
In addition to Cuoco and Calflin, the upcoming show's cast includes Karin Viard, Matthias Schweighöfer, Simon Abkarian and Dar Zuzovsky.

Cuoco last appeared on-screen in the second season of Peacock's crime drama Based on a True Story, which follows a couple who start a true crime podcast after finding themselves in financial difficulty.
Despite drawing acclaim during its run, it was reported last month that Peacock has decided to axe the show.
Meanwhile, Claflin recently starred in Colm McCarthy's 2024 horror movie Bagman, alongside Outlander's Steven Cree, Eric's William Hope and Aftersun's Frankie Corio.
Vanished will premiere on Prime Video next year.
