Hit comedy Colin from Accounts has been renewed for a third season.

The Australian show, which holds a 100% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes for its first two seasons, last aired in 2024, with fans no doubt keen to see more.

It has now been confirmed that the show will be getting another outing, with stars Harriet Dyer and Patrick Brammall sharing their delight in a statement.

"We’re VERY excited to bring you season three of our show," they said. "To be honest, with the way we ended season two, it would have been weird not to make a third, so here we are. We promise we won’t leave you hanging like that again. Probably."

The series follows two people in Sydney after their meet-cute in a car accident that involves an injured dog, whom they call Colin from Accounts.

The show has drawn huge acclaim, with The Observer calling it "tight, sharp, witty, naughty and strange", while Mashable said it was "consistently funny, occasionally moving and permanently fun to watch, with characters you alternate between groaning at and rooting for".

"A shining example of romantic comedy at its very best, with lots of genuine laughs, pleasurably low stakes and winning performances from stars/co-creators Patrick Brammall and Harriet Dyer," TVLine added.

Speaking last year before the renewal news, Dyer and Brammall expressed hope that it would be greenlit for season 3.

"The call hasn't come yet, but we are quietly confident. And season 2 ends in such a way that people will be cross!" Dyer told What to Watch, adding that they've "forced [the network's] hand" slightly.

"Yeah, we certainly leave it open for a third," Brammall added.

Colin From Accounts streams on Binge in Australia and on Paramount+ in the US. In the UK, it airs on BBC Two, and is available in full on iPlayer.
