New 'obsessive' UK drama The Feud has been given an exciting first look ahead of its release.

The show, which stars EastEnders' Jill Halfpenny and Gavin and Stacey's Larry Lamb, follows a couple who live a seemingly idyllic suburban life as they cherish strong friendships with their neighbours.

However, things start to turn sour when Emma and John (played by Halfpenny and Spooks' Rupert Penry-Jones) install a kitchen extension.

The first trailer (which can be watched via Radio Times) teases the growing tensions on the street as the couple reveal the extension, with teases of cameras, blackmail, suspected affairs and possible murder.

"Loathe thy neighbour," the tagline adds.

Some stills from the series also tease the drama to come, which you can look at below.

As well as Lamb, who plays Emma's "wheeler-dealer" father Terry, the show stars Coronation Street's Chris Gascoyne as "intimidating" builder Lee and Derry Girls' Jamie-Lee O’Donnell as police officer PC Gallagher.

The Vicar of Dibley's James Fleet and Only Fools and Horses' Tessa Peake-Jones play older couple Derek and Barbara, while Downton Abbey's Amy Nuttall and Fleabag's Ray Fearon star as neighbours Sonia and Alan.

The Feud is yet to confirm a release date on Channel 5, though is set to broadcast soon.
