Neighbours fans are being given one last chance to visit the Lassiters complex before it is sadly demolished. With the soap coming to an end last year, things are looking to the future regarding the sets that remain.

We already knew that the wider backlot of the famed Nunawading Studios containing the Lassiters – which includes Harold's Cafe, Paul Robinson's hotel and The Waterhole – will be demolished.

However, before we say goodbye forever, fans will be able to visit the site for a special ticketed event on 5 September by TV City.

'Goodbye Lassiters' will include a walk of the grounds, as well as appearances by some famous Neighbours stars and a celebration with a DJ and further entertainment. Fans can register now for the early bird ticket release and event details.

While the site is being earmarked for property redevelopment, some of Nunawading (now known as The Studio Forest Hill) that Neighbours has filmed indoor scenes in has been retained, with a production starting there in recent weeks.

Elsewhere, legendary Neighbours casting director Jan Russ has shared big secrets about bringing on some of the show's biggest stars in a new book.

What Will the Neighbours Think: Love, Loss and Showbiz is out now, and Russ recently debunked rumours that Jason Donovan was initially rejected for a role on the soap, and also dished on Hugh Jackman originally being contracted to star in the soap before his A-lister days.

Neighbours concluded in December 2025, but classic episodes are available to watch via Prime Video and YouTube.
